ACeS (Asia Cellulare Satellite) is an Asian telecommunications company operating on the satellite phone market. Used is an artificial satellite circling the Earth orbit. Its capacity is sufficient to support 11 000 simultaneous telephone conversations. The disadvantage of the system is relatively small range (Asia only).
